Review of Rexing V1 HD Dashcam
Rexing V1 is a discreetly designed wedge shaped full HD car dashboard camera that uses H.264 compression technology to record high resolution, 1920×1080 pixel videos. It’s loaded with super high quality 170 degrees wide angle glass lens, 2.4 inches TFT LCD screen, WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) technology, multi-language support and several other features to give you complete peace of mind while driving your vehicle.
You can fix the camera on the windshield of your vehicle using a 3M adhesive mount that comes with it. However, you need to buy a micro SD memory card to save the recordings to. It supports a SD/TF card of up to 32 GB. The dash cam records videos in a loop of 3 minutes. A typical 1080 pixel video clip of 3 minutes takes about 300 MB of space on your memory card. Thus, a 32 GB card can record for over 320 minutes or 5 hours. Once the free space on your memory card gets exhausted, the cam will start recording afresh, overwriting the existing files, beginning with the oldest one. So, just one memory card is sufficient since it supports loop recording function.
Rexing V1 has an inbuilt G-Sensor that can auto detect an accident and lock the video clip to memory card all by itself. You can also manually lock a file by clicking on the OK button. This will send the file to the ‘protected’ folder so that it doesn’t get deleted or written over when your camera starts relooping when there is no more free memory left in the card.
Operating temperature of this dashcam ranges from 10 degrees Fahrenheit to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. This is based on the temperature test conducted by the manufacturers but they do not guarantee this. So, it is advisable to remove the camera when you are parking your vehicle in order to avoid any issues.
Don’t expect the internal battery of this car cam to last longer. At most it may give a backup of 5 minutes. That’s because it’s only meant for saving files in case of emergency. So, whenever you are using this cam, make sure it is connected to an external power source.
Rexing V1 features a reasonably stealth design, both in terms of size and color. It easily camouflages itself behind the rearview mirror on your windshield. The camera mount too is pretty thin and allows for a flat mount against the windshield.
The cam supports audio recording and also gives you the option to turn it off. It records loud and clear audio without any distortion. The quality of video recording too is great. It takes everything in focus and there are no soft or fuzzy areas. Night time recording does not match the quality of day time but that too is above average.
Rexing V1 dash cam also allows you to take still photos at the push of a button. It saves image files in JPG format and video files in MOV format. The recordings can be marked with date and time. The cam menu is easy to navigate. The camera supports USB function and comes with a USB cable.
Ideally, any physical or liquid damage to the camera should not cause it to malfunction. But in case it does, you should contact the manufacturers; they should repair it for you. They have you covered under a limited warranty for 1 year.

Review of Rexing V6 1080 HD Dashcam
The Rexing V6 dash camera is a wide-angle midrange dash camera packed with surpisingly solid features. With a WDR wide dynamic range specialized night-time sensor and a humongous 170 degree field of view, the V6 produces full HD footage in an attractive package.
Quick Menu: Specs – Photos – Box Contents – Videos
Visually, the V6 is a distinctive camera. Built with a faux leather-like body with metallic accents and a prominent protruding lens, the V6 has a kind of vintage-camera feel. This is a good looking dashcam, but some might be turned off by that, as they want something more discreet and less enticing to a potential thief. The rear controls and screen are well-integrated into the design, however the camera’s compact design does make it hard to use for individual with larger hands. The 2.7 inch rear screen is reasonably clear, however it does suffer from a somewhat limited viewing angle. The camera has a wide operating range when it comes to temperature, functioning in temperatures as low as 14 degrees and as high as 158, which should be more than enough for a car parked on a sunny day, and it can be stored in environments as cold as -40, which is great for winter drivers and people without garages.
Like most cameras in its price bracket, the V6 shoots 1080p 30fps high definition footage, and can also be configured to shoot in 720p for more memory card space. The camera supports up to 64gb microSD memory cards, and can be set to loop based on either time or memory card capacity. By default, footage is segmented into three-minute chunks, which can make playback troublesome for some users, however you can set the loop up to 10 minute segments or turn off loop recording all together.
It should be noted that the camera does not include built-in GPS. It does have a port to connect the camera to a GPS unit on the top of the camera, however the extra cord clutter can be an inconvenience. With a GPS unit attached, the camera services as a great accident-tracking tool, using its integrated g-force sensor to flag clips where hard braking and swerving occurs, attaching time, date, location, and license plate information for insurance purposes.
In daylight conditions, the V6 produces absolutely beautiful video and exceeds the video quality of budget dashcams like the G1W. Thanks to the oversized lens, the camera manages to maintain a surprisingly wide depth-of-field in daylight conditions. License plates are clear, colors are accurate, and the footage is enjoyable to watch. At night, the camera does produce some noise. Given the price, it’s quality in this regard is notable, however it produces a notable color-shift towards blue tones in the process.
In terms of menus and controls, the V6 is a pleasant break from most other cameras in its price range. Supported with a surprisingly thorough manual, the camera is quick and easy to use (as long as you have small hands!) and the menus are quite intuitive. It has a one button audio ON/OFF switch that comes in handy if you want to quickly turn on or off audio recording while driving. The camera does suffer from the occasional freezing issue, and in one circumstance it required a full reboot during testing. The camera’s internal battery is larger than most in its class, but the battery is not meant to be a standalone power source as it should only be used for saving files right after your car is shutoff.
While most dash cam owners don’t seek out quality interior microphones (they are, all considered, few and far between), the V6 stands out in this regard. The documentation concerning the microphone is sparse, outside of enabling or disabling it, but the V6 produces amazingly crisp sound with minimal mount vibration. This feature is great for anyone who drives with passengers, and it adds additional piece of mind in case of robbery or car-jacking.
All considered, the V6 is a great camera for the price. With its distinctive design, great video quality, and surprisingly good audio, the V6 is a great choice for anyone looking to add another layer of security to their vehicle. While the camera is prone to the occasional glitch and the cords can be somewhat cluttering, the overall package is a great deal.
I have the Pro and the R2 model transmitter.same problem. All have had this problem and Godox Flashpoint have not addressed the issue. I have own or own the A7ii, A7iii and A7riii. If you use E-front curtain shutter the transmitter does not fire the flash or flashes consistently. Godox xpros ttl flash user manual. I don’t see any firmware update at all for the Sony version. The work around is listed here in what I and others have posted on Adorama site in review. This was my review. This issue has been here for many models of Sony Cameras.
