As long as it’s enabled you’re going to run into continual import errors while using Picasa (and presumably other third party image managers too).The introduction of iCloud Photo Library in iOS 8.3 did some odd things with the file permissions of media files on iOS devices and as long as you have it turned on you won’t be able to import into Picasa.To turn it off navigate, on your iOS device, to Settings - iCloud - Photos and turn off “iCloud Photo Library”. - Connect the device to a computer using the supplied USB cable.
- From the phone, ensure USB Mass Storage is enabled.
- From the main screen, navigate: Menu > Settings & Tools > Tools.
Utilize the 5-way navigation pad to highlight and the center/OK button to select. - Select USB Mass Storage.
- From the main screen, navigate: Menu > Settings & Tools > Tools.
- From the computer, launch File Explorer, Windows Explorer, or Finder.
For File Explorer or Windows Explorer, press the Windows+Ekeys (+E) using the computer keyboard.
For Finder, click the Finder icon located on the dock. - From File Explorer or Windows Explorer, or Finder on the computer, create a new folder in the Music folder in Removable Disk (X:).
Removable Disk (X:) represents the SD Card installed in the device. This name may vary. - Use the computer to copy music and other audio files into the newly created folder.
For any accompanying art in JPEG format, rename the file albumart.jpg and copy into the same folder as the music files. - To further organize files, create a subfolder within music folder and copy desired files into it.
- Disconnect the USB cable from the computer.
