Studiomaster manuals are usually pretty good, so I’d hope that an improved version of the XS8 owner’s manual could be made available for download. Happily, the Studiomaster Club XS8 is built like a tank, has all the basic facilities that you’d need plus DSP-based effects, USB/SD playback.

The Studiomaster CLUB XS 10 offers many features such as 3 band EQ, built-in channel compression, DSP effects and a hugely versatile MP3/USB/SD card playback and recording system. The CLUB XS 10 is a 10 input mixer with 6 microphone.

Studiomaster 16-8-2
Studiomaster made great mixers right through the 1980's, and here's one that appears from time to time, the Series_5 - similar to the classic Studiomaster 16-8-2, but you could add-on extra mixer channel 'blocks' to this series -The image above shows a 16-8-2 with 3 additional 4 channel blocks added (you often find them sold with these extra channels) - So this board above is now a 28-8-2 board! ,p> Like all the Studiomaster series you get great amp's and Eq on the channels, this console features the usual 3 band EQ with swept mid and swept bass sections - you get 5 aux sends, with sends 1-3 being switchable between pre/post fade as a group.
They can be a tad hissy these old series_5's, but my mate had one and the sound blew my newer mixer away.. whilst his series_5 was slightly noiser, the definition of the mix and the fatness of the eq is outstandind, and you get a really thumping well defined non-muddy bass end full of warmth with the sweep bass & mid eq.. all in all they are great tho for the cheap price, and you can upgrade the IC's if you like to make the board quieter; they are well supported and mod's are no problems for the Studiomaster range in general cos they are quality British boards and easily upgraded, but don't think they are annoyingly noisey, they are not, the difference in the mix quality is worth that tiny bit of extra old-board hiss you might get.. a classic board !!

WOW, JUST BOUGHT THIS FROM EBAY FOR £60 UK POUNDS, B A R G A I N !!!!!
THIS IS NOT THE FIRST MIXER IVE OWNED, BUT ITS THE FIRST REAL QUALITY SOUNDING MIXER IVE HAD AND I CAN ACTUALLY SAY YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE MISSING UNTIL YOU HEAR IT!
IVE OWNED A BEHRINGER MX3282A, AN ALESIS STUDIO 16 AND A SOUNDCRAFT FOLIO AND THE STUDIOMASTER BEATS THEM ALL HANDS DOWN, AND YOU CAN ADD EXTRA CHANNELS WITH BOLT ON UNITS, NICE EH?
THE WARM SOUND AND THE EXCELLENT EQ REALLY DO MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE TO YOUR MIX, FOR YEARS IVE HAD REAL TROUBLE GETTING THE BASS END OF A MIX TO SOUND NICE N TIGHT BUT WITH THIS MIXER ITS REALLY EASY, AND THE LOGICAL LAYOUT MAKE THINGS NICE AND EASY TO WORK WITH TOO.
ANYWAY, IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A NICE SOUNDING MIXER THEN I WOULD PERSONALLY RECOMMEND ONE OF THESE IF YOU DONT WANT TO SPEND LOADS OF MONEY.

Hello,
since a few weeks I am the owner of a Studio master serie 2 16-8-2.
It works there are some bugs in it and I want to repair that. (especially the meter bridge is complete death)
first I have to clean all potmeters (I found the description) but for the repair I need the schematic. Who can help me with that?

i have one of these and have own it since about 1990 in great shape , i used it
for a while with a foster 8 track and now have a different one with my msr 16 trk
recorder, reproducer and no longer need it and want to sell and need to know
the value , it looks new and kept in a great case of protection and want to sell
my 8 track as well,
