If you’ve already got the WN3000RP then proceed with the steps below. There are two methods this extender can be configured. Connecting using. N300 WiFi Range Extender Type admin for the user name and password for the password. If you already changed the password, type your personalized password. Select Maintenance Backup Settings. Click the Browse button. Locate and select the previously saved backup file. By default, the name of the backup file is NETGEARWN3000RP.cfg.

The LEDs on the front show how the Extender is working:

WPS. This LED indicates a WPS wireless connection.

Solid green
. There is wireless security (WPA or WPA2).

Blinking green
. A WPS connection is in progress.

PC to Extender. The LED is lit when the Extender is connected to a PC.
•
Status. This LED is lit when the Extender is powered on.
•
Link Rate
. This LED indicates a wireless connection between the Extender and the
router.
