iOS: Once you’ve gone to the hotspot, the first time you use the app you’ll need to connect. Open the Wi-fi settings, find the hotspot and click it. It should connect within seconds.
You should only have to do this once. From then on, your phone will automatically connect as soon as it comes into range.
Step 4: Find more hotspots and use filters
Tap the hotspot icon on Android or ‘Find a hotspot’ on iOS and you’ll see a map view of hotspots in your vicinity. You can scroll around and pinch to zoom in and out. The background colour will also give you an indication of how many hotspots are nearby – the warmer the tone, the more hotspots are nearby. It also tells you exactly how many are in the vicinity.
If you’re going somewhere and want to see if it has a hotspot, just enter the place name or postcode into the search bar, and the map will transport you there.
