I found out that the emulator of the 1.5 R3 SDK works well with the option -http-proxy, but the emulator of the 1.6 R1 SDK does not. The SDK Tools now support the use of library projects duringdevelopment, a capability that lets you store shared Android applicationcode and resources in a separate development project.
