SETUP
- Transmitter – Remove the battery cover on the bottom of the transmitter and install 2 AAA batteries (included) as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ and -).

OPERATION
- After setting up your transmitter and monitor, you can then insert the tip of the probe into the center of the meat which will allow for easier turning during cooking. For best performance, make sure the tip of the probe is inserted into the center of the meat and never expose the probe to open flames which could damage the heat sensor. Also, it is best to not only insert the probe into the center of the meat but also avoid inserting the probe near bone which will not allow an accurate temperature reading.

To set your own custom temperature:
Hold the Mode button 3 seconds until the Target Temperature starts flashing. Then you can press the MIN button to increase the target temperature or the SEC button to decrease the target temperature.
TIMER and STOPWATCH FEATURE:
- To start the Stopwatch timer, press START/STOP button to begin and push it again to stop.
- To set the Timer, push the MIN button for the amount of minutes you want and then the SEC button for the amount of seconds you want and then push the START/STOP button.
- Once the time is up and the alarm goes off, you can push any button to stop the alarm and the CLEAR button to reset.

- Always use a heat resistant glove to touch the hot stainless steel probe and the heat resistant wire.
- The probe is sharp and should be handled carefully near children.
- Hand wash the stainless steel probe between uses. It is not designed to go into water and is not dishwasher safe.
- If the Current Temperature is not showing, first make sure the stainless steel probe is plugged all the way into the base unit/transmitter. Next check to see if your batteries are worn down. Another possible cause may be that the monitor has been taken out of range of the base unit. Move closer and in some cases you may need to turn both monitor and base unit off and on again to reestablish connection.
- The plastic base unit/transmitter is not designed to go into the heat of a barbecue grill or an oven – that’s what the stainless steel probe is for.
- Don’t forget to turn off both the base unit transmitter and the monitor POWER switches to save your batteries.
- If the blue display light in the monitor is dim or hard to read, it is most likely due to needing fresh batteries.
